Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is my great pleasure to extend a warm invitation to you all for the 18th International Symposium of the Greek Orthodontic Society, scheduled for March 1-3 in the historic city of Athens, Greece.

Our Symposium promises an enriching and diverse scientific program, featuring distinguished keynote speakers. We are also looking forward to a range of high-caliber scientific and clinical e-posters, showcasing the latest advancements and research in the field of orthodontics.

Beyond the academic exchange, the Symposium will offer an excellent networking environment, set against the backdrop of Athens’ rich cultural heritage. March in Athens is a time of splendid beauty, offering the perfect blend of mild weather and the city’s vibrant energy, free from the hustle of peak tourist season. We encourage you to explore the ancient landmarks and museums, which stand as testaments to the profound historical legacy that continues to inspire our field.

Also, in the 18th International Symposium we have the pleasure to host the recipient of the World Federation of Orthodontists inaugural ‘Rising Star’ Travel Scholarship. The World Federation of Orthodontists ‘Rising Star’ Travel Scholarship was established by the WFO Executive Committee in 2022, named after is former WFO President, Doctor Roberto Justus and is presented to WFO Fellows who have excelled in the field of Orthodontics.

Dear colleagues,
It is with pleasure that I am inviting you to participate in the upcoming 18th International Symposium of the Greek Orthodontic Society, which will take place in Athens on March 1st to 3rd, 2024 at the Divani Caravel Hotel.
This biannual meeting is a wonderful opportunity to listen to a variety of modern orthodontic topics presented by a series of experienced clinicians and talented researchers in our field. This year also marks a historic timepoint, as the Greek Orthodontic Society is celebrating its 60th anniversary of scientific activity and contributions to the orthodontic specialty nationally and worldwide. Considering this festive occasion, the scientific committee of the symposium has put together a memorable scientific program, supported by a roster of highly esteemed invited speakers from around the world. Cutting edge technological advancements in orthodontics, high impact research conduct and stimulating clinical work will constitute the core of the meeting proceedings.

The scientific program will be complemented by festive social activities in order to honour and celebrate the long history and shining presence of the Greek Orthodontic Society in the orthodontic world, since its founding. It is a privilege to celebrate these exciting times with all of you and invite you to enjoy these festivities with friends and colleagues.

Celebrating Excellence:

WFO's 'Rising Star' Scholarship Recipient at the 18th International Symposium

The World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO) ‘Rising Star’ Travel Scholarship was established by the WFO Executive Committee in 2022, and named after former WFO President, Doctor Roberto Justus. The annual award may be presented to WFO Fellows, no older than 38 years of age at the time the application is submitted, who in the judgment of the WFO, have excelled in the field of Orthodontics and should be supported to present their research and/or clinical work internationally.
